Michael Keaton has told People that he plans to use his birth name, Michael Keaton Douglas, professionally.
Keaton adopted 'Keaton' decades ago, as the Screen Actors Guild disallows duplicate names.
The guild already had a registered Michael Douglas and talk show host Mike Douglas.
The 72-year-old actor will start using Michael Keaton Douglas in future projects.
He aimed to use the new name in his directorial debut 'Knox Goes Away' (2023) but couldn't due to time constraints.
He will still be credited as Michael Keaton in the 'Beetlejuice' sequel.
