The room was surrounded by a select group of friends that were giving her a lot of care and support. It was somber and sad, but beautiful and loving," he said.
    • Meanwhile, The US Sun reports that Doherty died while in debt, after being forced to take out a $3 million mortgage and $150 000 bank loan.
    • At the time of her death, she was fighting her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, in a legal divorce battle.
    • The publication says that Doherty owed a fortune to financial institutions and more than $250 000 in legal fees.
