  • Miley Cyrus was honored as the youngest-ever Disney Legend at the 2024 D23 Expo.
  • Disney Legends is a hall-of-fame platform for individuals who have made a significant mark on the company's brand and legacy.
    • The awards ceremony took place in Anaheim, California, on August 11, where Cyrus was introduced on stage by musician Lainey Wilson, who performed the 'Hannah Montana' song 'The Best of Both Worlds'.
    • Other honorees at the event included Angela Bassett, Harrison Ford and James Cameron, among others.
    • During her acceptance speech, a tearful Cyrus, 31, said: "I’m gonna let everybody get on a little Disney Legend secret. I’m the one that tells you what you’re not supposed to know. And what I want to say is that legends get scared, too."
    • She continued: "I’m scared right now, but the difference is we do it anyway, and all of you can do that every single day. It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway. There is no such thing as failure when you try."
    • When it ran between 2006 and 2011, 'Hannah Montana' enjoyed an average 4.4 million viewers per episode and still holds the record for the highest-rated basic cable series telecast with 10.7 million viewers for one of its episodes in 2007.
